Early last Thursday morning, Amanda, the Ellsays and myself, along with other CVCC juniors Jake van der Vliet, Jordan Duncan, and Thomas Andrew, packed up and hopped on a bus bound for Langley and the 2010 B.C Summer Games. It was an awesome weekend for everybody, with a dance on Friday night and competition beginning Saturday and concluding Sunday. The road events consisted of a Miss-and-Out race, a First-and-Out race, a Scratch Race, a Street Sprint, and a points race, and there was also an Off-Road race. Amanda won every event she entered, and Nigel racked up a gold and two silver medals. Gillian did really well also, walking away with four silvers. I had an okay weekend, and brought home two bronze. It was definitely a hectic, tiring weekend, but at the same time it was an epic, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
